Friday afternoon, some of us Nisly goons hopped in my car and cruised on down to Oswego, Ks. for a Menno Nisly Christmas party at Sam’s. Due to my inability to follow directions as well as various assortments of other reasons, we arrived at our destination somewhat late. Looking on the positive side of things, though, I did get to practice my U-turns, which I feel was neglected in my Drivers Ed. That night we had a high school graduation party for Aaron Yoder. Congratulations Aaron!
Saturday morning we woke up, and after rubbing our eyes sufficiently, we headed off to the Parson’s Recreation facility to play volleyball. We tried at least. It was really quite pathetic, as you might assume for this time of the day. We had fun though, so that’s what counts. In the afternoon we learned interesting things about Mark’s recent upgrades in his life. Go Mark! Saturday evening us young pups went out to Pizza Hut, where we discovered they had only one waitress, but we extracted pleasure from attempting to down one pizza before the next one would appear, minutes later.
Sunday we went to the Oswego Church and listened to Ronald Miller preach an interesting sermon. (Although, I cannot remember what it was really about.) In the afternoon, we did various excercises such as making prank phone calls, being repeatedly harassed by the CIA, and attempting to intercept UFOs. On our way home, Kevin, Ryan, Jacob, and I stopped at a Pizza Hut for our supper. Since Ryan thought it would be “epic,” and everyone else agreed, we decided to carry out three medium size pizzas. We successfully finished these off by the time we arrived safely at my welcoming home.
Good job on the post!
